Looks good- motion capture looks good, and the style is wonderful. It maybe doesn't have the charm that the readers of the books are nostalgic for, but we'll have to see with the full film. Either way, definite must-watch.
Really one of the coolest things ever. Shutting down an entire city downtown, and involving everything from schoolkids to fire and police services to the local nerf team- that's some amazing organisation and coordination.

Titled "Get Back in Your Book," this highly creative set by Canada-based Lissy Elle features a few of our favourite fictional characters trying to stay in the real world, but forced to go back into their respective books.

Watched the live stream of this earlier before. Even from so far away and just in a little 320x240px window in my browser, you can still feel awe-inspired at the amazing power that's getting it off the ground and into orbit of our planet.
The shuttle take-off image is awesome, but I also loved the shot of the photographers viewing it through their lenses. I would likely be doing the same if I were there!
Last Friday, April 30th, was the 35th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War, and last Tuesday, May 4th, was the 40th anniversary of the shooting of protesting students at Kent State University. The Vietnam War and America's involvement in it affected the lives of millions for well over a decade, exacting a massive human cost with millions of deaths and countless injuries.
